Carnival on Collins

A Cairns Father’s Day tradition! Join in this annual street party celebrated in the Tanks Arts Centre and Cairns Botanic Gardens Precinct.

This year’s event will feature, site specific theatre performance The Magic Garden, roving acts including carnival favourite Uptown Brown and silent disco tours with T-Mar Superstar. The mainstage will host Maggie Helena, Los Caracoles and The Taste and families can head to Tank 3 to visit the Wild Zone to see venomous creatures up close.

There will also be free art and craft workshops and over 200 markets stalls featuring plants, arts, crafts and more.

A main feature on the Cairns Festival program, Carnival on Collins is a waste-wise event.

TIME: 9:00am - 3:00pm

This event is always popular. If you can’t find a park, try Greenslopes Street and enjoy a stress-free walk through Centenary Lakes.
