Diqing is located at the junction of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet and is the only autonomous Tibetan prefecture in Yunnan,  birthplace of the mysterious Shangri-la culture,  Naxi Dongba culture and sacred place of Tibetan Buddhism.
